As I sat here today listening to the winds howl, watching the water rise and the trees bend, I began thinking how Tropical Storm Fay’s track is similar to how some businesses market themselves – Began without a clear plan, headed in one direction, changed course before reaching its projected target, stalled as it decided what to do next, and then began moving again but still unsure of which direction to take.
Essentially marketing is a focused ongoing process of planning and execution with the end result bringing success.
Fay will eventually fizzle out and unfortunately so will some of those businesses that do not put a clear and concise marketing plan in place…
